Hi all! This animatic/storyboard belongs to the campaign
made by Canal Sur for Christmas 2023-24. It was one of three animated short films that revolved around the song ‘Nuestra Navidad’. In this case, the main character was a lonely old man called Antonio who was facing his first Christmas without the love of his life, Carmen. What started out as something sad and painful, progressed into something joyful and hopeful thanks to this song.
I made this storyboard with and for one of the best directors this country has, Manuel Sicilia. I have worked with him on numerous projects and, always, it has created that positive synergy that makes stories grow. And for many years to come! These short films were made by Rokyn Animation, Grupo ADM audiovisual and Canal Sur Televisión.
Sometimes in our career, you must develop different kind of storyboards; for action movies, or psychological terror or cartoon… often childish, but sometimes we also have the luck to work on stories that touch your heart. This is one of them.
